• How Gods Are Created

    Separate from the second meaning of the word ‘god’, it is also used to refer to an individual whose obtained power that far surpasses most, along with granting that person functional immortality.

    This power, after decades of research, has been defined as a mass of similar ideas and concepts channeled into a soul stone, and by extension, whatever may be inside it. If a soul is placed inside the soul stone, it takes on the power of this mass. A soul is needed in order to accumulate this mass in the first place, though, with it and the soul stone acting as a ‘beacon’ of sorts for these ideas.

    As all souls are, at some level, connected with one another, that means that what those souls produce can be transferred to another soul. Ideas and concepts, preconceptions about someone and anything of that sort fall under the ‘produce’ that a soul creates, that can be shared with other souls.

    While this sounds as though anyone can amass amazing amounts of power, that is not quite the case. If not contained, these concepts will quickly travel away to another soul, as souls are not capable of holding onto the temporary concepts that interact with them. This is where the soul stone comes in: it provides a vessel where these concepts can collect overtime, and stored with a person’s soul, it can gather to the point where it transforms someone into something beyond humanity. These people are often referred to as gods, named after the concept of beings beyond humanity that created life, protecting the cycle of existence until there is nothing left.

    For example, Bella Kaviarno is known as an inventor. She received her soul stone, and as long as it remains unbroken and close to her, she cannot die. Over time, people’s perceptions of her as an inventor became widespread across the Lestaria Empire, and these concepts of who Bella was approached her soul in the Soul Stream, the plane of existence where all souls are connected. So many of these concepts amassed to the point where the concepts merged with her soul, granting her the power to easily invent whatever her heart desires, as long as she has the right materials. This power is far beyond a human’s natural ability, even with magic, elevating her to the level of a god.

    It’s through this method that people can achieve such power, for better or for worse.
